Most Anticipated Books of 2014: Debuts

Since this month is largely dedicated to celebrating the books I'm most looking forward to in 2014, each Saturday I'm going to be featuring a different set of books that I can't wait to get my hands on! To start off, these are the 2014 debuts I'm most excited to start reading:

The Art of Lainey by Paula Stokes.
Prisoner of Night and Fog by Anne Blankman.
Sekret by Lindsay Smith.

A Mad, Wicked Folly by Sharon Biggs Waller.
Landry Park by Bethany Hagen.
NIL by Lynne Matson.

The Break-Up Artist by Philip Siegel.
Side Effects May Vary by Julie Murphy.
The Fifty-Seven Lives of Alex Wayfare by M.G. Buehrlen.

The currently coverless:
Snow Like Ashes by Sara Raasch.
Lies We Tell Ourselves by Robin Talley.
Otherbound by Corinne Duyvis.
Stitching Snow by R.C. Lewis.
Behind the Scenes by Dahlia Adler.

Honourable Mentions:
(These books are 2014 debuts that I've already read and enjoyed)

Defy by Sara B. Larson.
Cruel Beauty by Rosamund Hodge.

Any of these books topping your lists for 2014? Any of them new to your TBRs?

  1. Gah, yes, the ones I've read of these are so. Freaking. Good. Can't wait for everyone else to read SEKRET, SIDE EFFECTS MAY VARY, and THE BREAK-UP ARTIST! And yep, I'm pretty much dying for the rest of them.

Others I can't wait for are POINTE by Brandy Colbert, OF SCARS AND STARDUST by Andrea Hannah and BETWEEN by Megan Whitmer (I read early versions and they were already amazing - OF SCARS AND STARDUST is beautiful and chilling and BETWEEN may have made me laugh out loud more than any other manuscript I've read), and SOMETHING REAL by Heather Demetrios. Plus, I have to give a shoutout to OPEN ROAD SUMMER by Emery Lord, which has the best YA friendship I've read in a good, long while.

And thanks so much for the BtS shoutout! Thankfully it'll no longer be coverless come Tuesday!

    1. Oooh, I'm so excited to hear that you loved SEKRET, SIDE EFFECTS MAY VARY, and THE BREAK-UP ARTIST! I am definitely pining for those so it's always good to hear positive things!

I'll definitely have to check out the other ones you've mentioned. I absolutely love the title of OF SCARS AND STARDUST! I can't believe I forgot to mention SOMETHING REAL, that one sounds so good! I love the idea behind it. And an amazing friendship? Sign me up! Adding that to my TBR right now! Thanks for all the suggestions, Dahlia!

And I'm so excited to read BtS! And a cover already? That's fantastic! I'm off to go check it out right this minute! :)
